Provided by the Government of India, this is a biometric authentication digital service for government pensioners and lets them secure their Digital Life Certificate without having to physically present themselves at the authorized pension disbursing agencies. How can I submit my Jeevan Pramaan life certificate online?

Jeevan Pramaan is designed to be easy to use as long as you have the necessary requirements ready. First, download the program on your preferred device by going to the official site’s Download section. You will have to provide your email address, enter the captcha, and click “I Agree to Download.” You’ll then get an OTP email message and entering that will give another email containing the download link. Choose “Download For Windows OS” to get the installer.

Take note that this program needs a biometrics fingerprint or iris scanner to work, as it uses the Aadhaar Platform—which is a 12-digit unique identity number in India—for online biometric authentication. This is the best verification of your identity and won’t require a lot of documents to process. Once you have the biometrics scanner ready, install the program and provide necessary information like your Aadhaar number, pension payment order, mobile number, and the like. 

After successful authentication, you’ll get an SMS acknowledgment sent to your mobile number, which includes your Jeevan Pramaan Certificate ID. Your certificate will now be stored in the Life Certificate Repository, which can be easily accessed by you and any Pension Disbursing Agency. You can download a PDF copy of the certificate from the official website by providing your Jeevan Pramaan ID.

All in all, Jeevan Pramaan is definitely a handy software for those who can no longer visit the Citizen Service Centers so easily. However, this comes at the cost of getting an actual biometrics device to be set up for your PC and this is another kind of hassle to take care of. Once you do, however, things get much easier and you can use this program on mobile, too.
